HANDSWORTH STARS

Client - South Yorkshire Housing Association

Working with the local community we came to the idea of points of stars. Each point of each star is a suggested date, time or number as plotted on a 12hr clock face.

The geometric designs were cut by hand and are displayed together as part of a housing development in Handsworth, Sheffield.

The dates and times were submitted by local people and new residents of the development. We had some amazing suggestions, from birthdays and anniversaries to the battle of Orgreave and the premier of the Full Monty!

The most memorable for me was a date in the future that a resident wanted to get their life back on track by, it completely changed the project for me.
